ALTAR AND ROSARY SOCIETY
We are a group of prayerful, fun-loving, caring women. The group meets monthly to pray the rosary and plan parish events. Money raised is used to purchase items needed for the altar, priestly vestments, and other charitable works.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY
The Society is a member of the Buffalo Diocesan Union of Holy Name Societies. We are dedicated to promoting the spiritual welfare of the parish through spiritual and social activities. Men above the age of 18 are invited to join! We meet on First Thursdays at 7:00 pm.

MEN'S GROUP
We are a group of men (18+) who meet to break open the Word, grow in faith, and share in fellowship.

PRAYER CHAIN
If you join the phone prayer chain, you will hear of and pass on prayer requests via phone calls. Anyone can participate in this ministry, even those who cannot get out easily.

MONICA'S MOM'S
AND
ST. MICHAEL'S MOM'S
Groups of women gather regularly to pray as St. Monica did for their children, and for all children. They also engage in fellowship, retreats, and other events. St. Michael's Moms is a community of mothers dealing with drug/alcohol addiction in their families.

SENIORS
Open to all senior citizens, this group continues to evolve. The Lunch Bunch gathers for a meal and good company, Seniors Helping Seniors lend a hand with errands and household tasks, and more!

MARIAN EUCHARISTIC PRAYER GROUP
We gather weekly in the chapel before the Blessed Sacrament to pray for peace, Our Lady's intentions, and the intentions of the intentions of the parish. We pray the rosary with meditations, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and prayers of healing. Join us on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.

PRO-LIFE GROUP
We are concerned with all human life issues. Join us in prayer at 7 p.m., Monday evenings in the Adoration chapel. We also invite everyone to our Summer Novena for Life masses, the prayer service in January, and the Southtowns Life Chain on Respect Life Sunday in October, among other events.

GRIEF SHARE
Grief is not a timed, planned, or structured event, but rather a human experience of profound loss and love. GriefShare, Our Journey from Mourning to Joy, is a program involving discussion and sharing with others on a similar journey. All are welcome, whether new or experienced in the journey.

CATHOLIC WOMEN'S DISCUSSION GROUP
We meet monthly October-May in members' homes to discuss life topics. The prepared agendas lead to lively discussion and growth in friendship.

COMPANIONS SHARING OUR JOURNEY
Widow / Widower Support
This group offers widows and widowers a safe place to find healing from loss and rediscover the joys of life. We meet weekly on Friday evenings at 7pm in the Parish Ministry Center Community Room (enter at door #4). We open with prayer, enjoy light refreshments, and share with each other.

SCOUTING
We host a variety of Scout troops here at Saint Bernadette, including a Boy Scout troop chartered to our parish. The scouts meet together for activities in the gym on a weekly basis.

JUSTICE AND PEACE COMMITTEE
We seek to raise awareness and offer opportunities to get involved in matters involving social justice. The committee hosts discussion nights, sponsors blood drives, works with Habitat for Humanity, and sells fair trade coffee/tea/chocolate.

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
We are a consultative body convened by the pastor and from whom the pastor seeks advice and counsel in planning for parish vitality. The counsel prayerfully discerns parish needs and priorities and empowers parishioners to participate in the Mission of Christ.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE
We help organize several of the parish-wide social functions throughout the year. Events include the St. Joseph's Table, Mardi Gras, Summer Fest, the Easter Vigil party, and more!

M.A.S.H.
Ministry Assisting Service and Hospitality
We are hardworking folks who serve other committees and organizations by assisting in set-up and clean-up of events. We ensure proper use of parish resources and facilities. Many hands make for light work and pleasant company!

WELCOMING COMMITTEE
We host monthly welcome nights, extending hospitality to new parishioners and folks who might be interested in becoming parishioners. The committee shares an overview of our community here at Saint Bernadette.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
We combine intercessory prayer with knitting/crocheting. The group meets monthly to pray for those for whom they are making shawls. Much work is done individually, outside of meetings - if you cannot attend meetings, please craft at home and send in completed shawls. Shawls are given at healing Masses or by request at any time.

"MORE THAN WORDS"
SCRABBLE CLUB
We are a fun loving group that meets for Scrabble games and conversation on Tuesdays from 1-5pm in the Father Carey Room. All levels of players welcome, from beginner to expert!
